Saving the past for the future

Before reuinification happens it is essential that there we are ready to run trains over the 10 mile stretch North of Loughborough.

Following a survey of all the major structures on the Northern part of the GCR, we now have a 5 year plan to repair bridges, stations, track, signals, our viaduct and our tunnel..

Every donation to this fund will contribute towards this plan based upon prioritised need.

The highest priority in our Viaduct. Sadly, owing to its age, wear and tear, and vandalism, this  needs extensive repair work to make it safe again. Its height and location over the River Soar means that the first stage of these urgent works will cost £80,000 to repair.

This is also a good place to make small regular contributions, because with everyone pitching in, we’ll go forward faster. Thank you.
